This is my favorite sign ever. I've seen them in Renton, WA. Is that close to this particular sign?

Bro, you don't want to race me, bro. My Civic is hella fast, bro. Just put an intake on it, bro. And some NAWS, bro. It's got like a 1000 hp, bro. And I ain't be granny shifting, bro. I be double clutching all day, every day with my automatic, bro. I beat M3s every day, bro. You don't stand a chance, bro.

Can you do some research on why they're there?

That is bizarre. A community where you can race?
![]() 08/22/2013 at 18:22 |

I believe it just has to do with race attendance, since racing is very popular there: http://records.tukwilawa.gov/WebLink8/DocVi…
To me, it seems as if they want to be able to prosecute you just for being around the races. NatGeo came to Renton once and filmed a show about street racing here. Edit: See? http://channel.nationalgeographic.com/channel/videos…

Want that sign.

Will they mind if I bring my tub of hotwheels to play with?
![]() 08/22/2013 at 19:13 |

Yeah they are real. I snagged this one from google but they are posted in Tukwilla WA. I believe they posted them so as to be able to arrest people who go out to watch the races, but I still don't understand the need for the times.

I know I've seen them around Renton somewhere, maybe more than one. I think I saw one on the road behind Lowe's at The Landing.

Me too, it would be an awesome sign to hang in the garage.

I think that's right, street racing is always illegal, but they also made it a misdemeanor to stand around at night watching the street races. If you're there during the day though, I guess you can just say you happened to be around when some street racing broke out.

Okay, I get it now. For a moment I thought it was too good to be true, and it was.

Dark green was a horrible mistake for traffic signals.
What happened to School Bus Yellow?

Yeah there are a few around the more industrial warehouse areas. Great racing areas as they are.

The road behind Lowes is pretty long and straight, and there is only one entrance, and there are no cross streets, so I can see its appeal.

True. It's always fun to drive through the area on a Friday night and shake my head at the ricers. I've seen them hit NOS on the freeway once or twice, geniuses.

I've seen long trains of them on 405 a couple times, with their loud exhausts and all. I can only assume they're all headed somewhere together to street race. They might think about being a little more inconspicuous.

They are incredibly conspicuous. Same thing in Puyallup where I live. They all head south to Graham to race, together, revving their engines and doing burnouts out of their developments. Then the sheriff gets 'em.
